Neil Gorringe is an award-winning commercials director based in London, known for his naturalistic storytelling and subtly humorous touch.
After graduating with a degree in English Literature, he somehow ended up in Hong Kong, where he wrote, directed and edited music shows for Channel [V]. Highlights included filming Björk pretending to be an owl, and eating deep-fried pig intestines with David Hasselhoff.
Back in London, Neil created campaigns for MTV and later became Creative Director at Channel 4’s 4Creative, shaping E4’s irreverent identity and acclaimed campaigns for shows such as Skins and Black Mirror.
He’s since directed work for McDonald’s, Amazon, British Airways, Cadbury, John Lewis and Samsung - bringing warmth, character and narrative depth to big-brand campaigns without losing authenticity. His work has been recognised by D&AD, British Arrows, the APA Collection and Creative Circle.
